Wake services will begin today for the Boy Scout killed by an alleged drunk driver in Manorville.
Andrew McMorris was walking along David Terry Road on Sunday along with other scouts when police say a car hit them.
Thomas Murphy was arrested for driving drunk.
McMorris, 12, later died of his injuries.
His family thanked the community yesterday for their support and said “Words cannot express how grateful we are for all your love, prayers, thoughts and deeds. They all mean so much to us. Thank you is not enough. "
Wakes are being held for the boy at Branch Funeral Home of Miller Place Thursday and Friday.
A funeral mass will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Islip Saturday morning.
