Conditions continue to rapidly deteriorate across Nassau County.
At the corner of Northern Boulevard and Searingtown Road in Manhasset, visibility is low and cars are continuing to get stuck.  Drivers are urged to stay off the road and avoid the dangerous travel conditions.

Sand salt trucks were out overnight treating area roadways across Nassau County to stay ahead of the year's first major snowstorm.
Oyster Bay Town officials say they are prepared with 9,000 tons of road salt and sand, and nearly 300 plows, salt trucks and pay loaders.

Town Supervisor Joe Saladino says residents should stay off the roadways not only because they are dangerous, but so plows can properly clear the snow.  He adds residents should move their cars up in their driveways so they can do a curb-to-curb snow removal.
The Town of North Hempstead officials are reminding residents to keep their cars in their driveway, to enable plows to properly clear the roads.
They also ask that when shoveling, residents should put the snow back on their property and not throw it back onto the street.
Supervisor Judi Bosworth also urges residents to check on any elderly neighbors during the storm.
