Police teamed up with United Parcel Service (UPS) to bust an East Meadow woman suspected of credit card fraud.
According to police, a worker at the Levittown UPS store noticed 29-year-old Kareese Lindsey received dozens of credit cards in her rented postal box.
Sergeant Thomas Riley of the Nassau County Police Department said, "the box was filled with nothing but fraudulent credit cards, so she had the potential for stealing thousands of dollars more." According to police, Lindsey had already gone on a $52,000 shopping spree with other credit cards.
Police say Lindsey used fake Social Security numbers and various names to successfully apply for more than 70 cards. She is charged with grand larceny and is being held on $100,000 bond.
