A vigil was held Sunday in Bellport for two teenagers killed in June while on an allegedly stolen dirt bike.
Police say Keenan King and Anthony Garriques were fatally struck by a minivan on Montauk Highway in Bellport.
The minivan was driven by Christopher Bouchard, of Mastic Beach.
Officials say Bouchard and his brother were trying to recover a stolen dirt bike that the two teens were riding.
Bouchard is being charged with reckless endangerment.
People at the vigil said Sunday that the charge is too lenient. They want prosecutors to upgrade those charges and even stood in the middle of Montauk Highway in protest. They shut it down briefly Sunday until police arrived.
Bouchard is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
