Brawl breaks out on Sunrise Highway in North Lindenhurst; 3 face charges

Police say two men and a minor were arrested.

UPDATE: Three people are facing charges in connection to the brawl on Sunrise Highway in North Lindenhurst, police say. Huntington Station resident James O'Connor, 19, faces two counts of assault in the second degree. He was also charged with leaving the scene of a crash, second-degree reckless endangerment and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Patrick O'Connor, 38, faces two counts of second-degree assault. A 16-year-old male also faces two counts second-degree assault.

A large brawl was caught on camera on Sunrise Highway in North Lindenhurst.

At least six people were involved. Some of them used objects that resembled baseball bats as weapons.

Three people were arrested, two men and one minor.

Two people were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

The fight followed a two-car crash at around 12:30 p.m. One vehicle was knocked on its side.

Sunrise Highway was shut down for hours.

The motive behind the fight is not yet known. None of the people involved were identified by police.
