A brush fire ignited off the westbound lanes of the Sunrise Highway Saturday afternoon in Quogue.
A News 12 viewer sent in a video of the fire just east of Exit 64.
State police says the fire broke out before 3 p.m. and has been extinguished.
This year marks the 27th anniversary of the Sunrise Fire of 1995 where thousands of acres of the Pine Barrens burned over several days.
You can learn much more about that fire in the News 12 documentary Battleground: The Sunrise Fire of 1995.
