The U.S. Coast Guard received a distress call Friday from boaters aboard a 27-foot sailboat who were stuck in rough seas.
Officials say the seas were so rough outside of the Shinnecock Inlet, with waves breaking 10-15 feet high, that they could not send any vessels out.
