Police have released surveillance video of the suspect accused of attacking a gas station clerk in Hempstead.
Police say the man in the video tried to use a fake credit card to buy gas Friday at the Apple Gas Station on Peninsula Boulevard.
When the attendant asked for ID, the suspect allegedly walked behind the counter, slammed the victim to the ground and punched him repeatedly.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Nassau Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
