One person injured after car engine fire on Sunrise Highway
The Sayville Fire Department says they found one vehicle off the roadway with an active fire in the engine compartment.

One person was injured after a car caught fire eastbound on Sunrise Highway Wednesday morning.
The Sayville Fire Department says they found one vehicle off the roadway with an active fire in the engine compartment.
They say the person inside was taken out of the car prior to their arrival with help from Suffolk County police.
Fire crews were able to put out the fire, and one person was taken to the hospital for further evaluation.
There is no word on what caused the engine blaze.
