Valley Stream man identified as passenger killed in North Woodmere DWI crash

Detectives say 22-year-old Pablo Rivera was riding in the vehicle driven by accused drunk driver Aaron Cooper.

Police have identified the 22-year-old passenger who was killed in a drunk driving crash in North Woodmere early Saturday morning.
They say Pablo Rivera, of Valley Stream, was riding in the vehicle driven by 26-year-old Aaron Cooper.
Police say Cooper was drunk when he lost control and flipped his car around 4 a.m. on Rosedale Road near the intersection of Lawrence Court.
Rivera was pronounced dead at the scene.
Cooper was charged with manslaughter in the second degree, vehicular manslaughter in the second degree, assault in the second degree, driving while intoxicated and reckless driving.
Police say Cooper was taken to the hospital. He will be arraigned when it's medically practical.
