A mass COVID-19 vaccination site at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow is serving military veterans exclusively.
An organizer there told News 12 that today was “better than Christmas” as lines of veterans waited to receive their shots.
Inside the facility are flags and messages to the veterans, thanking them for their service.
The site expects to vaccinate 300 veterans each day for as long as needed. It is also vaccinating spouses of veterans.
Any veterans who are eligible can call the Nassau Veterans Service Agency at 516-572-6565.
