The United States has managed to take home two gold and three bronze medals since the start of the Olympic games on Friday.
Snowboarder Jamie Anderson took the gold for the U.S. in the brand new slopestyle event yesterday.
American Sage Kotsenburg took the men's gold with a last-minute decision to pull off his first ever 1620 Japan Air Mute Grab.
The U.S. also medaled in the team skating competition. Meryl Davis and Charlie White helped the team skate to bronze.
Canada is now first in the standings with two gold, two silver and one bronze medal. Norway is in second with two gold, one silver, and four bronze. Rounding out the top three is the Netherlands with two gold, one silver, and one bronze. The U.S. is now in fourth.
Meanwhile, the race is over for a young Long Islander at the Winter Olympic games. West Islip's Aiden Kelly finished 24th in the luge competition.
At 19 years old, he says these Olympics are only a warm-up for the 2018 games.
