UPDATE: The winning numbers for Monday are: 13, 19, 36, 39 and 59. The Powerball is: 13.
For just the second time in Powerball history, the jackpot is worth upwards of $1 billion.
Those who bought tickets on Long Island hope to have a winning ticket but are being realistic about their chances.
"Slim to none, but I'm being faithful, and you know don't want to miss out," says Eddie, of Plainview.
According to the New York State Gaming Commission, odds of winning the jackpot are one in 292.2 million
The gaming commission also implores anyone who does win to sign the back of the ticket and keep it safe before claiming the grand prize.
