An unidentified man is dead after being shot in the chest in a North Amityville home Friday.
Police say they responded to a 911 call from a cell phone around 8:20 a.m. saying someone had been shot in the house on Lindy Avenue. EMS workers say they had to break the door down to gain access.
Cops say the killer is still on the loose. Anyone with information is asked to call Suffolk Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TOPS.
