Long Island officials are teaming up with Uber to launch a safe ride program ahead of Thanksgiving.

Uber is offering discounted rides to stop partygoers from driving under the influence.

Law enforcement is also increasing patrols and checkpoints keep the roadways safe.

People can receive a $10 discount on rides with the code SafeNY19 on the Uber app from 9 p.m. Wednesday until 3 a.m. Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, officials said.
