Police say an Uber driver was attacked after he picked up passengers in Melville over Thanksgiving weekend.
Officials say the driver picked up the three passengers in on Nov. 26 and began driving them to Bethpage.
While on Route 135 a passenger asked the driver to make a stop at a store near Old Country Road.
When the driver refused police say one of the passengers punched him in the head.
Authorities say the driver stopped on Prospect Street and Plainview Road. Before fleeing the scene the passengers punched the driver a few more times in the head.
Police say the suspects also used racial slurs while beating the driver.
The driver was taken to a hospital to be treated for his head injuries.
Police are looking for the passengers who they believe are two men in their early 20s and one woman. One of the male suspects is described as stocky.
