Supporters of President Donald Trump showed up to rallies across the country and on Long Island Saturday.
Supporters gathered on Main Street in Patchogue as part of a coast-to-coast rally organized by organizer Donna Ingrassia, of Long Island.
Ingrassia says she started the grassroots effort after Trump had COVID-19 and was unable to travel for those days, as well as when she saw that Trump was trailing in the polls against presidential candidate former Vice President Joe Biden.
She says groups from California to New York held rallies in the afternoon to support Trump.
“They are out there promoting everything about America that the Democrats are looking to knock down," Ingrassia says. "I know that the Biden supporters, not all the time, but they prefer to be in their basement have their masks sealed across their face not talking to anybody just being unhappy, destroyed…thinking everything is wrong about the country."
The organizer said she decided do one big nationwide rally after helping organize local rallies that News 12 has covered over the past few weeks.
Other rallies were held in Massapequa, where some folks lined the street holding Trump signs and flags asking cars to honk.
Meanwhile, News 12 reached out to Biden supporters to see if they are doing last minute rallies as the clock to Election Day comes closer.
