A truck went up in flames in Suffolk County on Monday afternoon.

The incident happened on County Road 51 in Eastport around 4 p.m., according to police.

There were small explosions seen coming from the inside.

Part of the road was closed while crews battled the blaze, fire officials say.

The driver reported smoke coming from the vents and got out safely.

No injuries were reported.
