A truck fire on the Long Island Expressway caused major delays for tens of thousands of Long Island commuters Thursday.
The fire closed all eastbound lanes on the Long Island Expressway in Dix Hills from 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Officials say the driver of the truck exited the vehicle without any injuries.
Police are investigating the cause of the fire.
