The long wait for a Triple Crown winner may finally end at this year's Belmont Stakes.

Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner American Pharoah will have a chance to capture horse racing immortality and put an end to the 37-year drought.

The last horse to win the Triple Crown was Affirmed in 1978. Since then, 13 horses had an opportunity at the triumph, but failed to win the Belmont Stakes.

American Pharoah looked like a once-in-a-lifetime horse at the Preakness, pulling away from the field on the muddy Maryland track. This is the horse's fourth race in eight weeks, but trainer Bob Baffert says he seems comfortable and ready to go.

"His body language says he's still moving well, he's enjoying himself out there," said Baffert.

Anyone planning on coming to Belmont Park Saturday must have a ticket in hand. There will be no walk-up sales. Organizers say to make sure to get to the park early and be prepared to stay well after the race is over.

The LIRR has added train service at its newly refurbished Belmont station to try to help riders exit the park in a timely fashion.
