The trial for a man accused of killing a South Hempstead gas station manager began Tuesday.
Prosecutors say Joshua Roston purposefully struck the victim to avoid paying $22 in gas in 2019.
Roston left Long Island and was later found in Philadelphia.
He is charged with murder.
