Trenton Police seized 73 illegal digital slot machines in a raid on local businesses this week.

Police say a Philadelphia man, 33-year-old Harry Almonte was operating the machines and collecting as much as $50,000 a month in cash.

Investigators took the machines out of bodegas, corner grocery stores and barbershops around the city of Trenton.

“They were basically slot style machines similar to what you’d see at a casino with digital screens," said Detective Lt. Katherine Cox, with Trenton police.

Almonte is being charged with maintenance of a gambling resort, possession of gambling devices and money laundering.

Businesses hosting the machines were given a summons.
