A piece of history will be on display this weekend in East Meadow.

A small-scale Vietnam veteran's memorial will be at the Nassau County Veterans Memorial Plaza in Eisenhower Park thanks to the Heroes Among Us organization.

"We wanted to make sure it's educational for our youngsters,” says Virginia Cervasio of Heroes Among Us. “We want to make sure it's healing for the veterans and their families."

The Wall That Heals stands 6 feet high and 300 feet wide, and is a replica of the original in Washington, D.C.

The wall will be at Eisenhower Park until Sunday at 3 p.m.

The tour is sponsored by the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial Fund and is set to visit 34 states this year. It will be going to Pennsylvania next.
