Similar story in Nassau County where the night seemingly did not go as planned for Democrats there as well. John Dowing is a Democratic headquarters in Garden City now with more John. Hey, good evening to you. Rich. Yeah, I mean, I will say even though it didn't necessarily go as planned for Democrats here, the mood is still pretty positive. They're optimistic, looking towards the future and they're celebrating the wins that they did have in this election. I spoke with the the later elect for district one, Scott Davis. He is taking over the district that was vacated by Kon Abrams who was the former Nassau legislator minority leader. He was telling me that he decided to run in this race so he could do the most good for his county. I looked at this as a great opportunity to do good on a larger platform, a county wide platform where I could have more resources and be able to do good on a larger scale. Now, earlier in the evening before the party winded down, Chairman Jay Jacobs was saying at the podium earlier, he was just saying that you know, they were talking a lot about the turnout this year. They said turnout was really low compared to two years ago, around 21 22%. But he was calling this a status quo election saying that they, he doesn't believe they're going to lose as many seats as they had initially thought, saying that they will probably be able to maintain some of the majorities that they had in the legislature as well as in some of the different towns across the county. And that's the latest here from Garden City.

North Hempstead Town Supervisor Jennifer DeSena declared victory over her Democratic challenger Jon Kaiman. The Democrat previously served as town supervisor from 2004 to 2013.
