The Town of Oyster Bay is planning to install 22 electric vehicle charging ports across Bethpage, Woodbury, Massapequa Park and Syosset.
It was made possible thanks to a nearly $500,000 grant from the state.
Town officials say they are expecting to start installation over the next year.
