Town of North Hempstead to control tick population with birds
The Town of North Hempstead is hoping birds are the solution to controlling the tick population without using chemicals.
The town is incubating Bobwhite Quail eggs that are expected to hatch this month.
The birds will be released in wooded areas to feast on ticks.
The town has a live quail cam so you can watch the eggs as they hatch.
