The Town of Hempstead is stepping up its BWI patrols ahead of Memorial Day weekend.
Officials say the weekend will be one of the busiest for boating traffic.
This weekend is also part of National Boat Safety Week.
Officers will be out in full force making sure anyone sailing is doing so safely.
