Residents of a North Amityville trailer park are fighting to keep their homes after the Babylon Town Board voted to rezone the land today. A developer, R Sqaured, wants to remove the trailers from the Frontier Mobile Home Park and build a four-story apartment building there. Today's vote was just one step in the complicated process before that happens. The developer has offered each resident $20,000 to move, but many of them say that's not enough. The Town of Babylon says it's looking into safety and health violations at the trailer park. Town officials say even if the developer doesn't get the green light, the residents may have to move anyway.
