(09/24/07) THE BRONX ? A new week brought the same results for Clinton as they endured another tough loss, this time at the hands of Susan Wagner.
Clinton took a 7-6 lead into halftime during Sunday?s game, but it wouldn?t last. In the third, Clinton recovered a muffed punt and took it into the end zone. However, the rules state you can?t advance on a muffed punt. Clinton did retain possession, but was unable to do anything as they turned the ball over on downs.
In the fourth, Susan Wagner QB Jordan Rodriguez kept the ball and took it in for a score to give his team a 12-7 lead. He would complete the two-point conversion to go up 14-7.
Clinton was unable to overcome the score and fell to 0-3. They will try to get their first win of the season when they take on Tottenville at home Saturday.
