We have had a rough winter on Long Island and it has affected our skin terribly.
Dr. Dimitria Papadopoulos from Bellmore Dermatology has some top tips to get rid of dry winter skin and revive your skin for spring.
1 - Do not use hot water;
2 - Limit your time in bath or shower to five to ten minutes and one shower or bath daily;
3 - Use a gentle fragrance free cleanser;
4 - Use a moisturizer;
5 - Protect your face, use a moisturizing sunscreen daily with at least an SPF 30;
6 - Use a humidifier;
7 - Use hypoallergenic laundry products; and,
8 - Wear cotton blend clothing.
