Three nights of braving the wind and rain paid off for PlayStation 3 fans at the Best Buy in Westbury.
Many set up tents and waited patiently since Tuesday to be one of the first to get their hands on the near $600 game system. The management handed out tickets early Friday to 34 lucky fans to purchase PS3. The store?s manager says everything ran smoothly and the store sold all of its machines in approximately 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, at the Sony Style store in Roosevelt Field many customers say it was chaotic. Consumers say there was a rush to the store when the mall opened and there was no order to the lines. The mall?s management says it is up the Sony store to plan for such events as the release of a product.
