Thousands of masks were flown out of Westchester County Airport Tuesday to help workers on the front lines in Nevada.
The masks were purchased by electronic dance music duo The Chainsmokers and will go to the University Medical Center in Las Vegas.
Aircraft Services Group gave one of its private planes to take the masks from Westchester to Las Vegas. Ross Aviation donated the fuel for the trip.
The Emergency Task Force of Brooklyn Archdiocese of New York delivered the masks Tuesday via a police escort to Westchester County Airport.

"Were gonna be in Vegas by 1 p.m. Vegas time. The Las Vegas police are going to meet us, we're going right to the hospital to drop off 10,000 KN95 masks. We're gonna get back tonight and thanks to our contacts, we're going right into New York-Presbyterian, giving 10,000 masks to New York City to help them and to help the doctors and the nurses," says Vincent Levien, director of external affairs of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn.
