Thousands of people headed to Jones Beach Sunday to help in the fight against breast cancer.
More than 50,000 people came out to the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk at the beach.
Sandra Ciro, of Franklin Square, is a breast cancer survivor who had her family with her at the walk for support.
"It's really amazing, you feel hope," she says.
Many of the people who came to the walk were supporting breast cancer survivors, while others walked in memory of loved ones who have died.
Organizers said they were expecting to raise close to $3 million from Sunday's event.
