Thirty people have been arrested following a two-month narcotics investigation on the East End.
The suspects are accused of street level drug sales, including crack cocaine, powdered cocaine and marijuana. Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota says he recognizes there is an increase in crime on the East End, but that law enforcement officials are prepared for it. Spota says the arrests include two convicted felons, one parole violator and four gang members.
Spota says more arrests will soon be made, and those arrested could face up to 25 years behind bars if convicted.
