Ahead of this Tuesday’s special election the two candidates vying for George Santos’ seat in Congress went head-to-head last night in News 12’s exclusive debate. 

Candidates Mazi Pilip and Tom Suozzi had plenty of heated moments on stage. News 12 got reaction from those inside the auditorium for the debate. 

A voter who posed a question to both candidates about what they will do when it comes to the migrant crisis says he didn’t get the answers he was looking for.

“I honestly feel that I did not get a clear answer from Legislator Pilip, even Tom Suozzi did not answer, but at least it was a little better.”
