It's back! The News12 Long Island Scholar Athlete Award sponsored by Bethpage Federal Credit Union.
We are looking for 30 of the best high school seniors who excel in the classroom and in athletics.
Every winner gets a $1,000 college scholarship.
Applicants must have at least a 90 unweighted GPA and demonstrate excellence in their sports, citizenship in their community, and leadership in other extracurricular activities.
All applicants must be nominated by their coach as well. Applicants are encouraged to include a personal essay showing why your believe you'd make an excellent News12 Scholar Athlete.
Applications are due by March 15.
