With a third day of brutal heat on Long Island, many were looking for the best options to cool off outdoors.
Temps in the 90s along with high humidity made conditions feel above 100 in some spots.
On the South Shore, there was a bit more relief.
That makes a place like Jones Beach all the more popular, with people hitting the boardwalk even before 6 a.m.
Many Long Island beaches, pools and splash parks announced extended hours through the Fourth of July.
For those wondering when this'll come to an end -- Thursday will start a decline in temps toward the 70s that should stick for a few days.
