‘The Ebola Fighters’ named Time Person of the Year
Those on the forefront of the fight against the Ebola epidemic have been named Time magazine's 2014 Person of the Year.
The magazine praised 'The Ebola Fighters' from around the world for their "tireless acts of courage and mercy," adding that they "risked and persisted, sacrificed and saved."
Among the faces that are gracing the multiple Time covers are Dr. Kent Brantly, who contracted the virus last summer while caring for patients in Liberia. He was declared Ebola-free in August.

Pope Francis was last year's Person of the Year winner.
