Police say a teen is in serious condition after falling off a moving SUV in Deer Park.

The incident happened around 8:30 p.m. Sunday on West 4th Street between Grand Boulevard and Park Avenue.

Police say 17-year-old Christopher Kuhn was standing on the running board and holding onto the roof rack of a Jeep Grand Cherokee - while his friend was driving south on West 4th Street.

That is when police say Kuhn fell off the vehicle and hit his head on the pavement.

Kuhn was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries, but is expected to be OK.

Kuhn’s friend, who is also 17, was not injured.
