A man is accused of driving while intoxicated and running over a skateboarder in West Hempstead.

Police say Luis De Jesus was drunk when he hit the 14-year-old around 6:30 p.m. Friday.

The incident happened in the lot of a strip mall on Cherry Valley Avenue.

News 12 is told the teen got trapped under the car and is listed in serious condition.
