An Inwood teenager will spend part of the Memorial Day weekend behind bars for an attempted robbery.

Police say Tamel Brooks was one of five people who tried to get rob a man Friday on Jeanette Avenue in Inwood.

News 12 is told during the attempted robbery, Brooks threatened a man who tried to record it on his phone.

The group took off empty handed.

Brooks is expected to face a judge Saturday.
