Martin Tankleff could be free and back on Long Island by Wednesday night, according to the Suffolk County Sheriff?s Department.
Tankleff remains at an upstate New York prison after an appeals court overturned his conviction last week for the 1988 murder of his parents.
Tankleff?s attorney says a bail hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27 in Riverhead.
