Martin Tankleff has reached a $3.4 million settlement in his wrongful conviction lawsuit against the state of New York. Tankleff sued the state after his murder conviction was overturned in 2007.

Martin Tankleff has reached a $3.4 million settlement in his wrongful conviction lawsuit against the state of New York.

Tankleff sued the state after his murder conviction was overturned in 2007. He spent 17 years in prison after being convicted in the 1988 killings of his parents at their eastern Long Island home.

Tankleff's attorney says a civil rights lawsuit is still proceeding. They expect it go to trial in about a year.
