Walk around the nine-acre museum grounds in Stony Brook. You’ll want to stop and snap a photo in front of their beautifully crocheted trees.
Visit The Carriage Museum, home to the finest collection of American horse-drawn transportation artifacts in the world. There are over 100 to see. You can even see how they were made in the carriage shop.
Visit the Art Museum and see the two new exhibits, Artists Abroad and Twin Peaks.
Among the four historic structures on museum grounds you’ll find a barn, a blacksmith shop, the schoolhouse, and an outhouse.
The Long Island Museum is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
