A Nassau County food staple has closed its doors after a fight to stay in business.

Village Heros, located on Jericho Turnpike in Syosset, officially closed Friday.

The well-known eatery was in its 51st year of business. The land it sits on was sold a few years ago and will now apparently be used as a parking lot for trucks.

Last week, a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page said they “fought long and hard but our new landlords want us off the premises by the end of this month.”
