A Syosset man convicted of fatally stabbing his mother and attempting to murder his father was sentenced to 16 years in prison.
Ian Kazer was found guilty in June in the 2019 attack at his parents’ home.
Prosecutors say Kazer, 31, got into an argument with his parents after losing his job at Target.
They say he stabbed his mother 47 times and stabbed his father in the chest.
