A fundraiser at a high school on Long Island is helping save lives.

The Interact Club at Syosset High School raises money for Gift of Life International, which provides cardiac surgeries for children in need.

The student's efforts are helping 7-year-old Ermelinda Rexha, of Kosova, who can now have crucial heart surgery next Wednesday at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn.

Over the past 10 years, the club has raised roughly $140,000 and helped save more than 25 children from around the globe.
