A Syosset facility that cares for troubled teens is now housing immigrant children taken from their families.
Eight Central American children are now at MercyFirst group home on Convent Road. All are between the ages of 6 and 12.
MercyFirst is the only Long Island agency with a federal contract to take the kids.
Immigrant advocacy group "Make the Road New York" calls the housing of the children inhumane.
This all part of the Trump administration's controversial "zero-tolerance" policy on illegal immigration, which started two months ago.
