An 80-year-old woman accidentally drove her SUV into her Lake Grove home, then several other properties on Sunday morning.

According to Suffolk police, the woman was attempting to “straighten out her vehicle” in her driveway at 63 Birch St. around 10:35 a.m.

“She thought the vehicle was in reverse, but it was in drive and she struck her house,” police said in a release.

“She then put the vehicle in reverse and drove out of the driveway, across the street and struck a fence and deck at 56 Birch St. She then drove forward, through her yard and into the yard of 44 Washburn St., coming to a rest on a covered inground pool.

The woman, who police did not name, was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening at Stony Brook University Hospital.

There were no other injuries.
