Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery on 43rd Street in Copiague.

Police received a call that as many as five suspects tried to rob a home just after 10:30 p.m. yesterday.

There had been a report that the suspects were barricaded in a home near New Highway. That report turned out to be unfounded.

Police are now looking for the suspects.
